Laura is a spirited college student from a small town in wine-country Missouri. She shares a chic little cupboard-under-the-stairs dwelling with her three impossibly good-looking roommates, Hannah, Bailie, and Jasmine. Laura plays guitar, mandolin, and writes songs in her free time. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you our next contender, Miss Missouri! (A round of applause from the audience and a frantic self-fanning from Miss Missouri.) Okay, maybe that's not how it happens. If you don't keep up with Miss America pageants (or you just choose to throw the heaviest object you can find at the TV when they do come on), we've got a less devastating pastime for you! Follow Laura's blog to discover the stellarness going on in the "Emerald City" of the Midwest, Kirksville!

In Alissa's blog, she takes existing pieces of writing by authors from the Midwest or those that deal with aspects of the Midwest and then reflect on them. It deals specifically with living in a small town college town, especially when growing up in a city area.
